ABC star Patrick Dempsey is in Central Texas in support of the Livestrong Challenge happening this weekend.

Patrick, on what he’d like to see Derek do in the future: “Give up surgery for a while and concentrate on building his house and getting his priorities in line. He’d float in and out of the hospital to consult on certain cases.”



Ellen, on separation from daughter Stella: “It’s very challenging. I bring her here as often as I can, but sometimes I have my moments where I am not the nicest person here because I feel very stressed that I want to get home to her.”

Patrick, on working with Ellen: “We’ve been together longer than some couples and gone through everything. We’ve had our good days and our bad days, but we work through our things. I have really great chemistry with her. It’s a magical connection that will always be there.”

Doing what he loves the most, Patrick Dempsey was spotted at the Miami Grand Prix on Saturday (March 6).

The “Grey’s Anatomy” stud was all smiles as he played his guitar while signing autographs for his fans just before gearing up and taking his bright yellow Mazda RX 8 race car for a spin.

Of his passion for racing, Dempsey told press, “I really love it. I love the challenge. It’s constantly pushing me to get better and better physically, mentally, and the camaraderie. It’s great to be around the drivers.”

The hunky actor doesn’t just race for himself, he also races for charity. This weekend, Homestead-Miami Speedway has partnered with the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer, Hope & Healing and the Seattle Children’s Hospital on a special ticket package and fund-raising effort. Dempsey created his charity after his mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.

Getting in some extra work on the weekend, Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey were spotted on the set of “Grey’s Anatomy” earlier today (January 17).








The “Old School” babe and the “Sweet Home Alabama” stud both looked a bit tuckered out as they made their way around the lot in the rainy weather.

Coming up this week, “Grey’s” serves up yet another dose of drama and romance in an episode entitled “I Like You So Much Better When You’re Naked.”

Per the show’s official website, “After learning about Richard’s drinking problem, Derek confronts him; Izzie returns, hoping to reconcile with Alex; tensions run high for Teddy, Cristina and Owen in the aftermath of Cristina’s startling confession.”
