What Anna Paquin wore on her wedding day!
True Blood stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer tied the knot at a private residence in Malibu, Calif. on Saturday night at sunset -- and Us Magazine has new details on the bride and groom's wardrobe for the special day.
Bleach-blonde Paquin, 28, summoned Marilyn Monroe for her look: she wore a white halterneck, three-quarter length gown and black platform court shoes, with her hair in an updo. Moyer, 40, donned a dark suit.
The happy couple exchanged their vows beneath a tent on a grassy lot near the beach; they then celebrated at a nearby house with such guests as Elijah Wood and True Blood castmates Ryan Kwanten, Sam Trammell, Alan Ball, Rutina Wesley and Carrie Preston, plus Preston's husband Michael Emerson (Lost). (WUT?)
The pair -- who play lovers on HBO's smash vampire series -- announced their engagement last August. They began dating a few months after filming first began in 2008 for the show.
"I have never trusted anybody like I trust Anna," Moyer gushed in the July issue of Playboy.
"I feel so lucky right now," Paquin says in the latest issue of Rolling Stone. "Life is pretty great."

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer Tie the Knot!
True love, True Blood-style: Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton have tied the knot….in real life.
While the small-screen lovers have yet to walk down the aisle on TV, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer's off-screen wedding has gone down without a hitch (or a nasty vamp bite).
The dynamic duo tied the knot at a private residence in Malibu Saturday evening, according to Us Weekly, with guests including Elijah Wood, Michael Emerson and the couple's True Blood costar Carrie Preston.
The vow-swap took place on a tent near the beach.
Paquin and Moyer began dating just a few months after filming the HBO hit's first season in 2008, and announced their engagement a year later in August 2009.
"There's no one I'd rather work with," Moyer told E! News last summer. "I love working with her and that's how it all started, by falling in love on camera."
The super-private pair, who didn't appear publicly together until February 2009, also kept the details of their wedding as top-secret as Sookie's true identity.
Not even the designer of Paquin's wedding gown has been revealed just yet...or if Alexander SkarsgÄrd will be joining them on their honeymoon.

True Blood Rolling Stone Quotes!
Stephen on the allure of vampires: “If we go from a base level, vampires create a hole in the neck where there wasn’t one before. It’s a de-virginization – breaking the hymen, creating blood and then drinking the virginal blood. And there’s something sharp, the fang, which is probing and penetrating and moving into it. So that’s pretty sexy. I think that makes vampires attractive. (laughs) Plus, Robert Pattinson is just hot, right?”
Anna on the doctor that suggested that she she close the gap between her teeth: “Somewhere between the doctor putting his finger in my mouth and saying that he could fix it for me, I was like, ‘Yeah, and I could bite your finger right now.’ ”
Anna on announcing her bisexuality: ““I’m not sure what the reaction was, but I’m glad I did it. There’s such an impulse to turn it into a sensational thing, when what I was really hoping to say is that it’s normal and not interesting. (smiles) I feel so lucky right now. Life is pretty great.”
Anna on not minding the vampire bites she endures: “I’ve had 10 piercings in my ear, and a bellybutton pierce, and a tongue ring. My tongue, as it turns out, is not really appropriate for piercing, because the webbing is too close to the front, and the bottom barbell kept hitting against my teeth – clank, clank, clank. And it gave me a lisp, which isn’t great as an actress.”
Stephen on getting the callback for True Blood the same day his apartment was burglarized: “When you have things stolen, you become much more aware of what’s important – f—ing take the camera if you want, but don’t take the tape that’s in it. I lost all those sex tapes, the ones of me giving head when I was young. That was supposed to be my meal ticket.”
“True Blood” creator Alan Ball said he wouldn’t have it any other way, regardless of how many fictional awkward teen girls spring forth to pine for their sex-refusing vampire boyfriends. If it’s about vampires, Ball told Rolling Stone, it’s got to have some sex.
“To me, vampires are sex,” Ball told the magazine. “I don’t get a vampire story about abstinence. I’m 53. I don’t care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed.”
Anna Paquin, for one, admits to wearing a “patch” – a piece of attire that resembles a thong with the sides cut off – when she’s got to film a nude scene as her alter-ego Sookie Stackhouse. For men, there’s the “sock” option to cover the goods.
But while Stephen Moyer, who plays Sookie’s vampire lover Bill Compton, wears a sock on set (not that he has “anything to hide,” he assured Rolling Stone)
Alexander Skarsgard, who portrays the vampire Eric Northman, wants nothing to do with the tube of modesty. “I don’t want a sock around it, it feels ridiculous,” Skarsgard said to Rolling Stone. “If we’re naked in the scene, then I’m naked. I’ve always been that way.”
Alan Ball says: “Working on ‘Six Feet Under’ could sometimes be depressing, but ‘True Blood’ is very different,” Ball said of his two series, (the former of which came to an end in 2005). “It’s about archetypes, the subconscious, mythology and wish-fulfillment. I’m like a kid going to the playground everyday.”
Moyer puts in his perspective on his real-life relationship with Paquin: “We pretty much consider ourselves married now, even though we aren’t yet.”

Stephen Moyer Talks About Meeting Anna Paquin's Family
The wild and otherworldly antics on True Blood are fraught with life and death, and undead scenarios amid an often-naked cast are just another day at the office for principal actors Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.
One might consider, with all that excitement, their off-screen relationship, presumably devoid of blood-drinking, vampire killing or supernatural sex, would seem comparably dull.
Not necessarily so. If you ask Moyer, 40, who appreciates the everyday minutia of life with his betrothed, even the milestone many men fear – meeting one’s future mother-in-law – was approached with enthusiasm.
“It was late last year,” he said. “I flew to Wellington to meet her mum for the first time. Without Anna.”
Grinning, he continues: “It was lovely, actually. I was picked up at the airport at nine in the morning, driven around for hours, introduced to all Anna’s friends and family. I had lunch with her mum, and then at four o’clock she stuck me back on the plane to go back to Auckland where I was filming [the upcoming adventure flick, Ice].”
Aside from the regular nerves and stresses one experiences when enduring scrutiny from future family members, another dimension is surely added when each of them have seen you near-naked, let alone conducting acts, albeit simulated, that are usually conducted in private.
He laughs. “You mean, you’re asking me if it was weird that Anna’s mum had obviously seen a lot of me before we met? Well, I don’t know. I didn’t ask Mary that.
“But you need to realise that she’s a very spunky, very modern, evolved woman. She’s very aware of what it is that we do and what it is that Anna does.
“Remember, she was with Anna was she was 14 or 15 and doing all those provocative movies like Hurly Burly and 25th Hour.”

Excerpts from Stephen Moyer's Playboy interview
On his engagement to co-star Anna Paquin and the start of their romance: “She doesn’t pull punches. I’ll take 74,000 words to express an emotion because I fear hurting someone’s feelings. Anna will do it in three words. But we trust each other so implicitly that there’s never anything hurtful; it always comes from a loving place. It’s not as though people I’ve been with before haven’t been loving, but with Anna it’s just about pure trust, on camera and off. I have never trusted anybody like I trust Anna. During the show’s first season I had to go back to London and she went back to New York. I wish I had bought shares in Skype, because we Skyped every night for three or four hours. It felt as though part of me had been removed when Anna and I were apart.”
On human-on-undead vampire sex: “Unlike werewolves, who are very hot, vampires are steely cold, so sex with the undead isn’t going to get hot and crispy. There’s no heartbeat, no adrenaline rush as you get close to the moment. But in terms of speed and timing, you may be able to have sex that lasts for days. Vampire sex is muscular and physical, so it could be tiring for a human guy to have sex with a female vampire. I often think a lot of women’s attraction to vampires is based on the fact that vampires come from centuries ago, from eras of chivalry and courtly virtues. So it’s about being treated like a lady but being physically overtaken in the sack.”
On the diverse sexual couplings and overall sensuality of the show: “Sex on our show is like a big muffin that’s heating up, overflowing and expanding in an oven. This time last year I was thinking, What the fuck are we going to do next year to top this? Well, I can tell you it’s weird and exciting this year. As I said, the show is more character-centered—and I’m not saying it’s better or worse for it—but there’s certainly just as much, if not more, interesting sex because of it.”
On his thoughts about True Blood vs. Twilight: “That’s like comparing Monterey Jack and Roquefort. If my eight-year-old daughter comes to me when she’s 13 and says, ‘Dad, what would you rather I got into, Twilight or Black Sabbath?’ I’d be stuck between the two but would probably pull for Twilight. I love Black Sabbath, but that can wait until my daughter turns 16. The Twilight movies fill a niche. In her Twilight novels Stephenie Meyer has chosen a similar vampire framework to tell a story about burgeoning sexuality. What’s interesting about our show is that sexuality has already burgeoned. I wish Twilight the best of luck, but I’m very happy to be doing True Blood.”
