Hot off their own triple attack at the Oscars taking home Best Original Screenplay, Best Director and Best Film honors, Kathryn Bigelow and Mark Boal look set to reunite for "Triple Frontier" this coming year.

The L.A. Times are now reporting that early word on the film have noted that the project is "a Spanish-language variation, of a sort, on their previous collaboration." This seems to fit to the film's previous description as a "'Traffic'-like drug parable set in the notorious border zone between Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil, where the Igazu and Parana rivers converge, making 'la triple frontera' difficult to monitor and a haven for organized crime."

Furthermore, while the official language in Paraguay and Argentina is Spanish, Brazilians generally speak Portuguese. We're not exactly sure how communication plays out in the 'Triple Frontier' itself but we're guessing it's going to be a multi-lingual effort.

Also revealed is an interesting factoid that Kathryn Bigelow reportedly turned down the "Spiderman" reboot before the hot seat was eventually given to Marc Webb. It's certainly leaves one to wonder how she would've approached the material, we're guessing Bigelow wanted to focus on her own work rather than get saddled with a studio comic book franchise for the next couple of years.

Finally, Bigelow is slated to shoot the John Logan scripted pilot, "The Miraculous Year," for HBO sometime between May and June but other than that, has her schedule wide open. After filming is notoriously hot and humid conditions in Jordan for 'The Hurt Locker," Bigelow might prefer to shoot outside the summer, which runs from December to February in the Southern Hemisphere.
