Nate and "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo face off head to head in a fast-paced race to decorate a table.

Patrick, on what he’d like to see Derek do in the future: “Give up surgery for a while and concentrate on building his house and getting his priorities in line. He’d float in and out of the hospital to consult on certain cases.”



Ellen, on separation from daughter Stella: “It’s very challenging. I bring her here as often as I can, but sometimes I have my moments where I am not the nicest person here because I feel very stressed that I want to get home to her.”

Patrick, on working with Ellen: “We’ve been together longer than some couples and gone through everything. We’ve had our good days and our bad days, but we work through our things. I have really great chemistry with her. It’s a magical connection that will always be there.”

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Ellen Pompeo became a first time mom late last year, and she shared the first public picture of her daughter during a taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday.

The “Grey’s Anatomy” star showed off a picture of baby Stella Luna being held by her father, Pompeo’s husband, Chris Ivery.

“This is precious,” DeGeneres said after the actress showed off the photo of the beautiful baby girl, who was dressed in gingham and jeans, just like her doting dad.

“Chris – he loves dressing her up like him,” Pompeo explained of her husband. “He goes out and buys her clothes that look like his clothes.”

Pompeo, who plays Patrick Dempsey’s post-it wife, Meredith Grey, on the ABC drama, said she manages to work and care for her little one with some help.

“I have an amazing baby nurse,” Pompeo said. “I couldn’t do it without her.”

The episode featuring Pompeo, will air on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday, February 3.

Getting in some extra work on the weekend, Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey were spotted on the set of “Grey’s Anatomy” earlier today (January 17).








The “Old School” babe and the “Sweet Home Alabama” stud both looked a bit tuckered out as they made their way around the lot in the rainy weather.

Coming up this week, “Grey’s” serves up yet another dose of drama and romance in an episode entitled “I Like You So Much Better When You’re Naked.”

Per the show’s official website, “After learning about Richard’s drinking problem, Derek confronts him; Izzie returns, hoping to reconcile with Alex; tensions run high for Teddy, Cristina and Owen in the aftermath of Cristina’s startling confession.”
