The actual ceremony for this year's Mark Twain Prize — the annual honor given out by the Kennedy Center since 1998, nabbed by Tina Fey this year — was held last week in Washington, D.C., but PBS's telecast aired last night.

Will Ferrell and Tina Fey chat with Access’ Shaun Robinson about their new animated superhero comedy, “Megamind.” If they could have superpowers of their own, what would they choose? Plus what was the process like recording their lines for the film?

Fey appeared on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM on NBC) with her friend and former 'Saturday Night Live' costar Fallon where she went into a long and rambling monologue about her Emmy night shenanigans. Apparently, according to Fey, "when you lose everything," referring to '30 Rock' getting shut out, "You have so much time to like go to the parties."

Ladies and gentlemen, one of Tina Fey's first acting gigs has been unearthed and it's painfully hilarious.

It's straight-up Liz Lemon from '30 Rock' in every way possible. The hair. The clothing. It's wonderful.

Tina Fey and Meryl Streep join forces for MOMMY & ME



In a brilliant bit of casting, THR is reporting that Tina Fey and Meryl Streep are officially signed to star in Sony's MOMMY & ME, a mother-daughter comedy directed by Stanley Tucci. Wow. It's almost like Sony just tossed a bunch of super talented names into a hat and pulled them out.

Joby Harold is behind the script while Tucci, Steve Buscemi and Joshua Astrachan will executive produce. We're not sure of the plot but you can assume that Fey and Streep will have a challenging mother-daughter dynamic. I'm already on board.

This truly is some great casting. Streep is arguably the greatest actress of all time and Fey is easily the funniest woman in show business. She makes mediocre films like DATE NIGHT quite entertaining while Streep wins four Oscar each year. Together, they will be unstoppable!

Tina Fey isn't buying the idea of being labeled a "thinking man's" sex symbol – the "30 Rock" star says every guy – regardless of his intellect – would prefer to be in bed with Megan Fox.

"What I've come to realize is that when people say, 'The thinking man's whatever' — there's no such thing," Tina said in Esquire's April issue, where she appears in a sexy dress with a plunging neckline on the cover. "The thinking man also wants to f*** Megan Fox."

Tina revealed that she had a few stipulations about appearing on the cover of the men's magazine.

"I got an e-mail [from Esquire] with a list of the potential setups, and my e-mail back was like, Well, I need to decline being handcuffed to a bed. I won't straddle anyone. I won't make out with a cop," she explained. "There are certain things, I totally get them as a premise. And they're all good fun, and if I were a young single model, they would be appropriate, but, you know, I'm a mom. And my kid's going to find this someday. I don't want to be handcuffed to a bed in Esquire."

The actress also said she has reservations about doing one of her most famous impressions again.

"I feel that if I do [Sarah Palin] again, people will be like, 'Oh, wait a minute. That's terrible! You never really could do it, could you?'" she told the mag.

As for how Tina crafted her take on the former Alaska Governor – she said it required a lot of tricky vocal work.
"For me, it was a wig. And gluing down my ears. When I wear that half-up hairdo, my ears stick out. Also overdrawing my lips to make it look like I have bigger lips. Then there's the Minnesooota Fargo kind of accent. Ya know? And the o's, and the that, and all that," Tina said. "And smiling when you talk."
And when it comes to her hit NBC comedy, "30 Rock," Tina said there are some plotlines that fans will never see happen – mainly her character, Liz Lemon, and Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) hooking up.
"Liz and Jack will never be together. Not even if we go fifteen seasons," Tina said. "Okay, if we get to season fifteen, they'll do it."

In Date Night, a comedy in theaters April 9, Tina Fey and Steve Carell play a married couple with kids whose rare romantic evening on the town goes haywire thanks to an epic case of mistaken identity. Instead of sipping fine wine and strolling through Central Park, they flee dirty cops, seek help from a pathologically shirtless weapons expert (played by Mark Wahlberg), and attempt a comically inept routine at a strip club. Naturally, then, one of the first questions we asked the costars was what would happen if their hapless small-screen alter egos, 30 Rock’s Liz Lemon and The Office’s Michael Scott, went on a date of their own. Here’s what they said:

Tina Fey: Oh, Liz Lemon would f— it up. Michael Scott would probably be very open, but Liz Lemon would be sour and judgmental and she’d blow it. [Laughs]
Steve Carell: Blow it? With Michael? I don’t think there’s any way she would agree to go out with Michael Scott unless she had been tricked into it. I don’t think you go from Jon Hamm to Michael Scott. Michael Scott should be so lucky.
TF: We should just say, “That’s the series finale this year!”
SC: “We’re planning a little cross-pollination. There’s a tornado, and we all have to huddle somewhere between New York City and Scranton! It makes complete sense!” [Shakes his head.] No way.
TF: It would be so bad. It’s not gonna happen.

+ The best doughnut? That's Peter Pan doughnuts in Brooklyn. It's a Polish bakery. We shot nearby once for 30 Rock. It's a white-cream-filled powdered doughnut. And I really believe, when I first tried it, if I had a penis, I would put it in this doughnut. I finally understand what you guys are thinking about and what motivates you guys
+ My four-year-old daughter has a pretend hair-and-nail salon, and I was doing her hair and makeup. I said, "Hello ma'am. What's your name? And what do you do?" And she said, "I get paid to dance at parties." And I said, "Oh, no. That's a terrible, terrible answer."
+ She says she looks like Barack Obama. I think she heard so many people at that time saying I looked like Sarah Palin, I think she was just trying to get in on that. "I look like Barack Obama." Okay. Sure.
+ Twitter seems like a busman's holiday: just more writing. I have no plans to do it. I'll just stick with my 24/7 webcam. I'm old-fashioned that way.
+ Plots we would not do on 30 Rock? Let me put the Internet at ease: Liz and Jack will never be together. Not even if we go fifteen seasons. Okay, if we get to season fifteen, they'll do it.
+ I think my level of fame will drop back down. I think it'll recede. In fact, I know it will. That's life on planet earth. And I'm okay with that. Besides getting tables at restaurants and special treatment at the airport, what else is there?

'I'm gonna push those bangs out of his face,' Fey joked about their April 10 stint as host and musical guest.

In what seems like the perfect pairing for the "Saturday Night Live" stage, Tina Fey will be back to host the April 10 show, and she'll be joined by teen phenom Justin Bieber, who's been tapped as that week's musical guest. While Fey didn't reveal any skit plans to MTV News on the red carpet at the Academy Awards on Sunday, she did reveal some of her grooming plans for the young singer.

"I'm gonna pick him up like this," she said, swinging her arms as if she were holding a baby. "And I'm gonna push those bangs out of his face like this [licks her finger], like a mother."

All joking aside, Fey is looking forward to working with Bieber. "No, I'm excited," she added. "I like people who can really sing and I think he can really sing."

Meanwhile, Bieber tweeted that he'd like a certain action hero to join him on the show, writing, "Me and Chuck Norris should do SNL together. That would be good. Very good." For her part, Fey wouldn't confirm or deny that she'd re-emerge on the "SNL" set as Sarah Palin. "Well, I'm sure we'll try," she speculated. "We always try at 'SNL.' You have read-throughs and you have dress [rehearsal] and we'll see if anything sticks."

Perhaps Bieber and Fey's Palin could meet up in a digital short. Bieber seems liked he'd be down to do anything in one of those. He tweeted, "Shoutout to @BieberOnSNL and all the other fans who support me. It's happening! SNL in APRIL!! Digital Short Music Vid??"
