Peruvians Offended by Modern Family Joke?
Peruvians are miffed over a "Modern Family" episode in which a character suggests that the Andean nation is full of backward, violent people.
The offending dialogue comes during an argument between Jay, played by Ed O'Neill, and his Colombian wife Gloria, played by Sofia Vergara.
"Now, maybe in Colombia ..." Jay begins.
"Ah, here we go," Gloria interrupts. "Because, in Colombia, we trip over goats and we kill people in the street. Do you know how offensive that is? Like we're Peruvians!"

Alec Baldwin: "No One Tells A New Yorker They Can't Marry Jesse Tyler Ferguson."
If ya need any more reasons to be convinced that Alec Baldwin is one of the coolest guys out there, here's another: He not only supports gay marriage, but he's made a video about it. In the vid, the 30 Rock stars talks about a certain out gay Modern Family star...
"Lately, I've been getting emails, texts and yes, tweets about a video Jesse Tyler Ferguson that's made the rounds of the internet," Baldwin says. "On it, Jesse said he and I are getting married in New York next year."
With tongue firmly planted in his cheek, Baldwin continues, "As a result of this video, a vast and malicious whisper campaign has emerged that I can't marry Jesse because I'm not gay. I hear this behind my back on a daily basis, ‘Oh, Alec Baldwin, he's straight. He's a heterosexual. He likes women.' "
When a voice off camera is heard telling him that he is, indeed, straight, Baldwin says, "That's not the point" and then explains that the only reason he and Ferguson can't get hitched is because of a "group of state senators who decided last December that gay New Yorkers don't have the right to marry the man or the woman that they love."
Baldwin urges viewers to donate to fightbackpac.com to help "remove from office those senators who stand in the way of equality. "Because," he says, "no one tells a New Yorker they can't marry Jesse Tyler Ferguson."

Modern Family at the 2010 HRC Dinner
The cast of Modern Family was recognized with the Human Rights Campaign's National Arts and Culture Award at the organization's 14th annual National Dinner on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at the Washington, D.C. convention center.
Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson -- better known to Modern Family fans as gay couple Cam and Mitchell -- accepted the award on behalf of the cast and crew.
"The fact that Cameron and Mitchell have been embraced by viewers as an equal addition to typical worrisome child-rearing couples everywhere is a really beautiful thing," Ferguson said during their remarks.

'Modern Family' Halloween first-look pictures from Twitter
Apparently, the cast got an early start Monday (Oct. 4) to shoot their Halloween episode and couldn't contain their excitement about their costumes. Eric Stonestreet (Cam), Sofia Vergara (Gloria) , Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Nolan Gould (Luke) jumped on Twitter to share their experiences.
The show's script coordinator Clint McCray also shares a tweet: "So it looks like no one will be surprised when they see the MODERN FAMILY cast's Halloween costumes when the show airs."

What's Next for for Mitchell and Cameron?
What's next for Mitchell and Cameron? E! Online caught up with Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet this weekend at L.A.'s London Hotel, where they helped PFLAG honor Ryan Murphy and The Kids Are All Right director Lisa Cholodenko...
Are you guys happy that the gay kiss is behind you?
JTF: I'm glad it's out there, [and] now we're getting the, "Was it enough?" question, but that's fine. We were prepared for it.
Like, Was the kiss big enough?
JTF: Yeah. We're very happy with the episode. We're very proud of it. It was told in the way Modern Family should tell it. It was very integral to the story. We're really pleased with it.
What are you going to do when there's another campaign like...
JTF: Like, "Let Mitch and Cameron tongue"?
ES: I said there's going to be a campaign to let Lily talk. Let's let Lily talk because we've been denying her the opportunity. [Laughs]
JTF: The show's in very good hands. The fans, we love to hear their comments but we got it! We got it under control. They can rest at ease. We've got the show under control.
ES: We got their back.
Eric, you told us you were going to send your Emmy to your parents if you won.
ES: I'm going to give it to them at Christmas when I go home for the holidays. They know they're getting it. I know they'll get a big kick out of having it and showing it to their friends and just seeing everyday that their sacrifices paid off. It's in my house now. My friends are coming over and getting pictures.

Modern Family Covers Entertainment Weekly
TV’s funniest (and Emmy-winning) comedy is back, and what better way to celebrate than with three special Modern Family collectors’ covers — one for each couple. But does the cast kiss-and-tell about the hotly-anticipated lip-lock between Cameron and Mitchell in the Sept. 29 episode? You bet they do!
We were on the set as they shot the big scene, and spoke to the smooching stars, Eric Stonestreet (Cameron) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell). Was it, in fact, a response to “Let Cam & Mitchell kiss!” Facebook page that sprang up in May? “It’s nice that people care so much, but it kind of bums me out in that now it looks like we’re doing something because somebody begged us to or pressured us to,” says Stonestreet. “The [writers] wanted to tell a good story and not just make a moment out of it. It should just be normal, natural, and sweet, and done in a really great way, which is how they’re doing it.” Ferguson agrees: “I thought it was really sweet that the fans were so avid about the show and wanted to see that happen….That being said, it’s not a Choose Your Own Adventure type of show. We have amazing writers. And we’re not just going to give the fans whatever they want to see.”
Among the things fans will see this season: an earthquake, Cameron in a disturbing pair of bicycle shorts, a female ex-flame of Mitchell’s, and a guest starring spot from Nathan Lane.
