The rumors surrounding Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film have been incessant ever since The Dark Knight came out and blew everybody away. At various times, it seems like the next “villain” would be Catwoman, and the casting for that was extremely messy. But then the rumors swung over to the idea that the new villain would be The Riddler. Nolan’s association with (Heath Ledger-esque) Joseph Gordon-Levitt on Inception seemed to lead people to think that Nolan was considering JGL for a role. This may be true - it’s one of the most recent rumors, and I think it might have the most weight. But, according to The National Enquirer,



JGL isn’t a shoo-in by any measure. Apparently, Nolan is looking at both JGL and Johnny Depp, and now Eminem wants a screen test for the role as well:

After seven weeks of topping the charts with his “Recovery” album, almighty-whitey rapper EMINEM – itching to dominate movie screens again and repeat the critical kudos he won with biopic “8 Mile” – rapped to his reps: “When it comes to business, you know I ain’t no fiddler…You tell them Batman biggies, I wanna play ‘The Riddler!’”

Will Eminem nail a big-screen comeback deal – or get a screen test, at least?

Producers are piqued at the prospect of a Rappin’ Riddler, but Slim Shady’s facing stiff competition – execs are also confab-ing with JOHNNY DEPP and red-hot “Inception” star JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT. Stay tuned.

Eminem has dressed up in strange superhero costumes in his videos a few times - does that count as a screen test? Probably not. Judging from Nolan’s previous work, The Riddler will not be some cartoony jokester in a bright spandex onesie. He’ll probably some cold, murderous psychotic who likes horrible, terrible riddles involving body parts and chainsaws. Can Eminem go that dark? Sure. And Em is very popular, and I can see why it might be a good story, you know? But I doubt the veracity of it. First of all, Em seems very focused on his sobriety right now, and he seems super-cautious of taking on any project that might instigate a relapse. Considering the last dude who played a villain for Christopher Nolan is now dead, Em might not want the role. Secondly, I think JGL has it in the bag. Truly.

Finally, one man has the moral fortitude to turn down big money and protect Michael Jackson's legacy – and it's the auteur behind I Gotta Feeling. Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am, who collaborated with Jackson before his death, has criticised plans to release the singer's unfinished music. "He wouldn't have wanted it that way," Will.I.Am said. "Freaking parasites!"

"I don't think that should ever come out," the musician, producer and songwriter told the Associated Press this week. "How you gonna release Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson ain't here to bless it? ... That's bad." Referring to Jackson as his friend, Will.I.Am said the late singer was a perfectionist who oversaw every aspect of his recordings. "Now that he is not part of the process, what are they doing? Why would you put a record out like that?"

Will.I.Am first collaborated with Jackson on 2008's 25th-anniversary reissue of Thriller, producing remixes of The Girl Is Mine, Beat It and Pretty Young Thing. The Black Eyed Peas frontman later joined R Kelly, Ne-Yo and Akon as one of several musicians contributing to Jackson's comeback album. Frank DiLeo, Jackson's manager, recently cited Will.I.Am's songs among the list of unreleased tracks that could appear on a new Jackson compilation, due in November. If included on the posthumous release, Will.I.Am would earn a fortune in royalties.

"So what?" Will.I.Am said. "How much can you suck from [Michael's] energy? ... What's wrong with what he already contributed to the world?"

Madonna planning 'hip-hop' tour

Madonna is road-testing dancers for her most surprising tour ever, according to reports.

The 'Hung Up' singer, who is gearing up for a six-month jaunt next autumn, was said to be auditioning dancers at a nightclub in London's Mayfair, The Mirror reports.

A source said: "Madonna is in peak condition so the gruelling aspect of life on the road isn't a problem. She road-tested dancers at her favorite London club, and had her lover Jesus Luz give his opinion.

"It's going to be her biggest, most unexpected tour to date. She is going back to her New York City roots, with a street/hip-hop feel, and wants to make it a physical, dance-heavy set of gigs."

The tour - part of Madonna's new deal with Live Nation - is expected to net the star £100 million.

Celine Dion is going to be surrounded by men!

The "My Heart Will Go On" singer, who announced she's expecting twins in November, is going to have two boys, Star has learned exclusively.

In May, Celine — who already has a 9-year-old son, René-Charles, with husband René Angélil, 68 — announced that she's pregnant with two bundles of joy thanks to her sixth attempt at in-vitro fertilization.

Bon Jovi is answering Obama's call and asking their fans to answer along with them while bringing the message of service on their Circus World Tour.

At every show this tour, the band will be showing the audience a video they shot about the project to get them more informed.

The video was unveiled tonight at their Staples Center show in Los Angeles and was also uploaded to http://www.serve.gov/ for everyone else to view. It displays hard work and hope that this message really can help a community and have a positive effect on the whole country.
